So, we took around 500 pictures this weekend. Obviously we had a great time, family, BBQs, booze… Clementine was looking way too cute. I don’t really know what to say, I guess I should just let the pictures do the talking. I’ll try and narrow it down to my favorites.

It’s been SO so hot in California this week, Boz,Clementine, and myself went for a walk yesterday and I thought I was going to melt before we made it home. We bought Clementine her first swimsuit, so I guess I’m going to have to find one for myself pretty quick here. :\

On our walk we took some pictures on Florence street.

“As you turn onto Florence, you might feel you’ve slipped down Alice’s rabbit hole. Whimsical found-art figures, up to 15 feet high, have transformed the street into a fantastic open-air gallery. A blue-masked Batman charges forward, cape flying in the wind. An Indian straddles a horse with three turkeys in tow. A skeleton rides a motorcycle, even more eerie when illuminated at night. And then there’s Elvis performing in a band shell. About half the houses on this three-block, residential street are graced with one of these wonders.

Look closely and you’ll see that Batman is composed of a toaster, meat- grinder, vacuum brush, alarm clock and telephone. The Indian’s horse is made from a long tank, a saw, a muffler, a bucket and a fistful of springs and coils. A pair of mermaids have shimmery silver gills and eyes fashioned from an old car’s tail-lights.”

We’re lucky to live less than a block away from this, but they’re really all over town now. Clem and I might just have to go on an art hunt one of these days and see how many we can find. They all light up and are SUPER cool at night.
